What better way to start the weekend than with a summertime casual denim duo.  I love denim on denim.  Probably a little too much.  The combinations are endless and it's one of those looks that can be tailored to fit any season.  The Canadian tux is my friend.  And I know I'm going to be double-dipping in denim all summer thanks to these perfect Hot Kiss distressed shorts.  They just scream summertime at the beach.

 I also love discovered old favorites in my shoe closet when I start transitioning to the Summer crop.  These fun d'orsay flats were picked up last summer and I was so excited to dig them back out.  Old shoes meet new baubles to create a perfectly causal look.  This good vibes pendant from Jaeci Designs is perfect for layering (ps - look for a Jaeci giveaway on the blog next week)  and my new Southern Stones bangles are perfect for stacking.

Can I just be honest for a minute and tell you that I could wear a floral skirt just about every day of the week?  Especially one as darling & comfy as this one from my favorite, The Girl That Loves (ps - they have added some of the CAHuutest tops as of late!)  This type of skirt is easy and practical for work and can be accessorized in a jiffy when I'm 5 minutes late running out the door...which, if you know me, is everyday.  EVERY day.  True story.

Happy Wednesday, Ya'll!

Wow - I should really be saying Happy Monday, huh?  Sorry for taking a tiny break from the blogosphere this week.  I was completely lost in Memorial weekend activities and neglected most responsibilities last weekend.  You could call it a stay-cation.  And now being back to the grind has left me with a major case of the debbie downers.  Major.  Thank goodness it's already Wednesday!

The only saving me from an entire week in the Doldrums is this precious little white dress from White Plum!  The fun embroidered pattern makes me ready for a Summertime fiesta, and the straps are removable so no tan lines for this gal.  I kept the look daytime with fun flatforms and a cropped denim jacket.  I love how buttoning up a jean jacket all the way can completely change a look.  And I am really loving this new boho spike necklace from Nwaobiara.  They have such a fun selection of baubles!

My Vegas Style

Thanks for stopping by my little space of the world before heading off to your barbecues pool parties and fireworks.  Today I wanted to share with you My Vegas Style - or what I would be stuffing into my suitcase to spend a day at the ARIA resort & casino in Las Vegas.  Have you seen this place?  Yowza.  Even the outside screams fun fun fun!

There is definitely more than one day's worth of activities to enjoy at ARIA.  However, being a true beach gal, I know I would spend the first part of my day at the pool.  In particular, the Liquid Pool Lounge.  And while in Vegas, you can't just throw on your speedo and expect to blend in.  There's a certain level of sex appeal that is the social norm.  This bikini is super classic with the black & white color scheme, but the cut of the suit leaves very little to the imagination.  I would pair pops of yellow & pink with the suit to keep it light and refreshing.

What comes after a morning of pool tunes and mimosas?  Lunch and shopping of course!  That is after a quick outfit change.  Maybe Spanish tapas at Julian Serrano to fuel up for an epic afternoon of shopping.  The romper keeps me cool and comfy while having a girls afternoon, but the accessories keep the look chic and polished.

How do you finish up a day in Vegas?!  Dancing your tush off at one of Aria's nightclubs or lounges!  For a night of drinks & dancing I went a little left of norm.  I wanted to have fun with the look and create a chic summertime feel.  By pairing what seems like a day dress with more formal accessories, I am ready to hit the town!

Nothing says Memorial weekend like a chambray romper.  I tried my best to keep the look patriotic, but the pink necklace was just begging to be worn...

I found this chambray romper last Friday on my weekly TJ Maxx trip.  It is seriously the softest fabric ever!  I know I am going to live in this thing all summer.  I linked up a few great options, but if you are near a TJ this weekend, I highly recommend this one from cloth & stone.
