Happy Hump Day!
I don't know if it is all of the personal issues this month has presented or if my ocd has increased triple-fold, but I am currently finding it hard to achieve balance in my life. There's always something suffering - my friendships, sleep, much needed phone convos with the rents, my health, housework, sleep, puppy snuggle time (nah, that always comes first..), sleep. You get the picture. There simply aren't enough hours in the day and I need to quit trying to control it. ....but seeing as how I am typing this post at 1 am after working 9 hours, cooking dinner and cleaning, I guess I will work on balance tomorrow.
I tried to get back on balance with an all-weekend veg session. The hubby & I rediscovered Weeds and watched too many episodes for a sane person to admit and even managed to pack in Sharknado 1 AND 2. It literally rained from Friday morning to Sunday evening so it was the perfect weekend to be a bum. I'm talking BUM. I did not leave the house until Monday morning. It was amazing.
What else helps with the balance? These FAB shorts from Pink Slate Boutique. The pattern is so flattering and runs a little Gatsby. And of course I am obsessed with the coral hue. These definitely remind you Summer is far from over...especially when you live in the South.
I am totally with you!! I have such a hard time with balance--when you figure it out please tell me your secret!! O and the secret to your killer legs--totally rocking those shorts :)

I know how you feel! I have a really hard time finding a balance with everything. Something is always suffering (generally it is my sleep). But if I didn't have a lot going on, I wouldn't be happy. Love these shorts! And that top is perfect with them!

ReplyDeleteugh that is the worst feeling. honestly i find sometimes taking a day or two away from the blog helps. i still get comments that i feel the need to respond to and want to read blogs but sometimes that hour or two that it takes to formulate a good blog post just isn't worth my sanity!
ReplyDeletehope you start feeling more balanced, praying for you!
