A Shabby Apple Halloween

happy monday, loves!

I don't know about you, but I have been think about Halloween since about October 1st.  Halloween is the ultimate day of dress up so I love planning (and making) my costume every year.

the only problem with my Halloween costumes is they are usually not conservative enough to wear to work.  and since I'm always working over time on Halloween, I wanted something modest this year.  (also, the older I get, the harder it is to pull off the "sexy kitty" costumes)  this vintage inspired dress from Shabby Apple was the perfect frock to create a modest Tinker Bell costume!  best part?  you can recreate this costume with an extra 10 bucks.  yep.  if you already have a green dress in your closet, visit your drug store or wal-mart to get:  wings, blue ribbon & shoe poofs.  boom.  costume checked off your list.

make sure to visit the # scaryshabby on instagram to see how other bloggers are using Shabby Apple dresses for easy DIY costumes!

Not Too Shabby

Happy Thursday, babes!

I cannot help but feel super classic & feminine in this Shabby Apple wrap dress.  I absolutely love a long-sleeved dress for Fall and Winter.  As the air gets chillier (what a joke, it's still 90 degrees here in NC) and my skin gets paler, I love being able to throw on a dress with sleeves and some killer heels or boots.  Shabby Apple carries vintage-inspired pieces which invoke such a timeless feel.  I know this dress is going to be a staple for me for years.

And what is more classic than a leopard clutch ?!?  because leopard is a neutral, right...  This monogrammed clutch from Stacy Brown Designs has me swooning.  I may have squealed when I pulled it out of the box last week.  This clutch is such a Fall essential.  Your wardrobe will thank you!
