Paint the Town

Happy Monday, friends!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend!  It was so nice to get away and see my parents & family.  But, it's always so hard to say goodbye.  Ohio is simply too far from North Carolina..

The weather was GORgeous in Winston-Salem on Sunday and provided the perfect opportunity to twirl around in my darling new day dress from Paint The Town.  This dress is the ultimate classy, feminine cut and I adored the whimsical mailbox print.   Very Princess Kate & very precious.

I am trying to get back into the groove of things with several cups of coffee.  The worst part of over-packing is having to put away the 20 extra outfits you packed "just in case"   I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

Sandal Season

Happy Sunday, y'all!

This weekend has been absolutely gorgeous at the coast!  It was filled with boats, bikinis, brews and puppies.  The warm weather definitely snuck up on us quickly, leaving little time to get "bathing-suit ready."

Luckily my feet were Spring-ready thanks to my new pedicure tool from emjoi!  This tiny exfoliator gets rid of all of that dry winter skin to leave your feet & toes ready for all of those bright, strappy sandals.  I hate spending money on pedicures, but living at the beach puts me in sandals or flip-flops every weekend.  This emjoi tool saves me the time (and serious cash) of a pedicure.  And, the new nano version is so small, it's perfect to take on vacations and summer getaways!

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!  I'm going back out to soak up some more vitamin D !

Monogram Necklace Giveaway

Cardinal Gift Monogram Necklace c/o {USE CODE MODAANDTHEMAR for 20% OFF}

Can I get an Amen for Friday ??!

Things have been extremely bright on the blog this week.  I apologize for all of the color, but the weather has been gorgeous and my closet is just begging for me to shed the darks and up the brights.  This watercolor maxi from Lily and Violet is just what the weather ordered!  I am so obsessed with the colors and patterns of this dress.  I can't wait to wear it to a summer wedding!  Luckily a few of my friends are taking the plunge this year!

Of course a dress this flirty and fun needed a few bright accessories.  I have been loving pastels as of late, and this cuff from Gotham Decay was a perfect match.  Just like their fabulous bags, all of the Gotham Decay accessories are completely animal-free.  How amazing is that!  I know my puppies think so! (...and just wait until you see the fabulous tote that matches this cuff on the blog next week...)

I wanted to make sure you guys are ready for Spring with bright accessories, so I have teamed up with a NC Etsy shop (you know I love supporting NC companies) to give one lucky reader their very own Acrylic Monogram necklace!  Cardinal Gift has just about any size, color and style monogram necklace and accessory you could ever want,  - and all at an incredible price!  Seriously incredible.

To enter the Giveaway, simply follow the Rafflecopter below!  - And if need to a quick fix for your monogram addiction before the giveaway ends, use code MODAANDTHEMAR for 20% off your purchase!!   Good Luck! xo

Cropped & Colorblocked

Happy Hump Day!

My brain is officially on vacay.  I have a short few hours of work (and a gazillion to-do's) separating me from a fantastic weekend of happiness & hangovers.  And until then, I'm going to focus on the important things... like nail polish choices.

This sleek look is definitely one of my recent favs.  There are so many bold statements and trends in such a simple outfit.  It's obvious I am a big fan of crop tops as of late, and this one from The Girl That Loves is definitely at the top of the list.  The geometric pattern and boxy shape make it the perfect modern crop top.

The colorblock envelope clutch from the Gotham Decay collection was the perfect finishing piece.  The black cork and white hologram material give an amazing contrast that is so on point.  The Gotham Decay collection from Ted Rossi is made in the USA, and is completely eco & animal-friendly.  You can help stop the decay of the environment while rocking a fiercely cool handbag.  Major win.

Puppies & Fringe

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Today is my first "born's" birthday and I couldn't love him more than the day I brought him home.  Grady was actually a college graduation present.  Who asks for a puppy for college graduation?  A crazy dog lady, that's who.  I have been coo-coo for puppies ever since I was born, so naturally when first entering the world as a certified adult I needed to do it in the company of a high-strung puppy.  This dufus has seen my highest of highs and my lowest of lows.  And although he has traded me in for the hubs (no lie, they are best friends & Grady goes to work with him every day) he will always be my first babe.

Grady and I have been super excited about the Spring weather preview we've been having.  He celebrated with a boat ride on Saturday,  I celebrated with sandals & a fringe tank.  This flirty and feminine tank is another favorite from The Girl That Loves.  I know it is going to be my first pick for concerts and festivals this summer.  And is fringe ever a bad idea?  Nope.

Shawlsmith London scarf c/o {use code SSL25 for 25% off your purchase}

Happy Monday, friends!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  Everyone in our house is itching for Spring.  Christmas and New Years have passed, and we have had a snow day for the first time in 3 years.  It's time for Spring. {I realize that as I type this, probably half of you are still buried chest-deep in snow.  I am truly sorry}  Living at the beach can be torture in the Winter.  The boat, the beach and all of your Summer dreams are just staring you in the face for 4-5 looong months.

When I said everyone in our house was ready for Spring, of course I was also referring to my closet.  She is very ready for Spring.  I think most of you know by now that I love my neutrals.  Gray is by far my favorite color.  But I am ready to break free of heavy fabrics and closed-toe shoes.  This gorgeous linen scarf from the Shawlsmith London Spring Collection is the perfect piece to add a little Spring into my late-winter wardrobe.  I was immediately drawn to this lemon polkadot scarf, but the entire Spring collection is unbelievably adorable.  And every piece from Shawlsmith London is made with such luxurious fabrics.  The linen polkadot piece is so soft and lightweight.  I also have my eye on the seahorse and cotton candy stripe .

Guess what, beauties ??!?  Shawlsmith London is making sure your closet gets a needed dose of Spring at an incredible discount!  Use code SSL25 for 25% off your purchase!
