I hope y'all are as ready for 5:00 as I am!  Sunday it is supposed to be 70-something and sunny, and I am itching to put the boat in the water for the first time this year.  Especially since it got back down to 32 last night.  grrrrrr.   Silver-lining of the cold resurgence?  I got to test out this fabulous hoodie from Charles River Apparel!  I love pieces that have a fabulous element - like the fur trimmed hood on this casual fleece.  This hoodie is so so SO soft!  But, what I really love is the feminine cut of it.  The back is actually tailored like a heavier coat would be, giving a super flattering and structured shape to a typically loose piece.  It makes you feel like this hoodie can take you places.

Like many people, I get dressed shoe - up at least four days a week.  I love shoes.  Like a deep, deep love.  So when Spring rolls around every year, I get extremely excited to see all of the new babies just waiting to be adopted by me and my feet.  

This year I am really loving all of the sporty styles - like the classic New Balance trainers, and these adorable Dr. Marten leopard sneakers.  Block heels will be big again this year, and the mule is making a comeback.  Feminine, delicate sandals are always my go-to shoe for Spring, and this year the styles are extremely bright and flirty!  I am heavily lusting after all of the gladiator-inspired looks.  If you aren't brave enough to try the knee-high version, start with an ankle gladiator like this gorgeous pair from Tory Burch.  And since you can't have a Spring-inspired post with a floral print, these Dr. Marten boots made my list for a little tough love action.

I hope you find a few pairs you can't live without.  I may have found 10.

Confession time:  I have had these blue pants from Forever 21 for well over a year, and this is the second time I have worn them.  Every time I grab them from my closet, I find them a little difficult to style and so I throw them back in search of something else.  I think it's a combination of the fabric and thigh insecurities that always puts me on the struggle bus.  They are actually very high-waisted and made of a neoprene material, which translates to too-tight for a tight-fitting top {say that 5 times fast.}  My solution to this?  Pile on thick, deconstructed layers with tons of texture.  The flannel and denim make these slacks feel more casual and less nightclub.

Happy Monday, Bellas!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  Things were pretty uneventful in the Frost house.  Our niece had a dance competition Saturday night and her duet placed first in their division with a high gold award.  She is only seven and is already such a talented dancer.  She truly lights up the stage every time.  This former ballerina could not be more proud.   

 Sunday one of my main girls and I went shopping for Bachelorette weekend wear.  She is getting married this May hooray!!  and we are celebrating for her last fling in a few weeks.  Since we are touring wineries all weekend, it was agreed red would be the perfect color for all of the gals.  And of course, I own nothing red.  Literally just one work dress and a red sweater.  Neither of which scream bachelorette weekend.  Can I just say how hard it is to shop on a dress code?  I found nothing red.  Nothing.  But I do have my eye on a few pieces from Forever 21.  This jumpsuit and this boho dress seem like the perfect pieces for a day of wine-tasting and shenanigans.

I learned two things while taking these pics:

1.  Dogs are not props and they will remind you of such by running a muck

2.  Charles River Apparel makes extremely fashionable & functional outerwear.

{seriously though, could these two pupperonis be bigger goobers?!}

Let's be real for a minute.  Some days you need to just throw on your most convenient ensem and get things done ie- errands, dog walking, garage cleaning... you get the picture.  But, just because you want/need to be comfy and functional doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your style.  My friends at Charles River Apparel make sure you look chic no matter the occasion with their extensive collection of outerwear.
