Happy hump day, friends!

Today is SUCH  a hard day.  The parents are in route back to Ohio and I am back to work.  so hard. 

I had such a lovely time with them over my mini staycation!  We finally had a touch of cool weather and the traffic has slowed in our small beach town.  Honestly, September & October are my FAVORITE months here!  It's still warm enough to enjoy a boat ride or beach day, but all of the "mainlanders" are gone and you're not sweating your tush off.  

Another favorite of mine is this lace & frill combo I am sporting today!  This sheer lace peplum blouse from Sugar Love Boutique is so feminine!  It would also be gorgeous with distressed denim & pointed toe flats.  However, I chose to pair the slight bit of peplum with this steal-of-a-deal flounce skirt for a little extra volume.  This mini black set definitely got the hubby's seal of approval!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  I am still on my mini-staycation and I am soaking up this last 24 hours with the parentals.

Buffalo plaid is on my serious cravings list for Fall and I couldn't be any more obsessed with this plaid vest from Fabulous Finds Boutique.  The weight is perfect for layering!

It's FRiiiiiiday !!  

Technically it's the first day of my mini-staycation.  That's right, this girl isn't reporting back to the office until Wednesday.  Mis Padres are coming to town and I couldn't be more excited to get a few hugs & laughs in.  AAnd this trip means they are house-shopping for their forever home & will share a zip-code with me for the first time in 11 years.  

The fact is it is still very much Summer in Eastern NC.  Like, 90 degrees Summer.  So this sleeveless cardi vest from Sugar Love Boutique is the perfect laying item that feels like Fall but feels like Summer.  Ya feel me?

I cannot help but feel super classic & feminine in this Shabby Apple wrap dress.  I absolutely love a long-sleeved dress for Fall and Winter.  As the air gets chillier (what a joke, it's still 90 degrees here in NC) and my skin gets paler, I love being able to throw on a dress with sleeves and some killer heels or boots.  Shabby Apple carries vintage-inspired pieces which invoke such a timeless feel.  I know this dress is going to be a staple for me for years.

And what is more classic than a leopard clutch ?!?  because leopard is a neutral, right...  This monogrammed clutch from Stacy Brown Designs has me swooning.  I may have squealed when I pulled it out of the box last week.  This clutch is such a Fall essential.  Your wardrobe will thank you!
