Getting Fringey With It

Happy Friday, friends!

I am obsessed with all things fringe right now, so of course this flirty tank from Sweettart Clothing was on my have-to-have list.  It's perfect for a night of dancing & drinks and will pair so nicely with shorts in a few months!  Shop Sweettart on facebook and instagram for fun wardrobe essentials!

Sorry for the short post today - I was up all night packing to-go cocktails and half my wardrobe.  Isn't the rule 4 bags for every day you will be traveling??!  I sure hope so because I have hit max capacity for a three-day weekend of bachelorette shenanigans.  If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend, try explaining to a man why you need 10 pairs of shoes for a 3 day trip.  "but you only have two feet..."  Can't argue with that logic.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!  Don't forget to enter the Royal Leopard Giveaway here.

Puppies & Fringe

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Today is my first "born's" birthday and I couldn't love him more than the day I brought him home.  Grady was actually a college graduation present.  Who asks for a puppy for college graduation?  A crazy dog lady, that's who.  I have been coo-coo for puppies ever since I was born, so naturally when first entering the world as a certified adult I needed to do it in the company of a high-strung puppy.  This dufus has seen my highest of highs and my lowest of lows.  And although he has traded me in for the hubs (no lie, they are best friends & Grady goes to work with him every day) he will always be my first babe.

Grady and I have been super excited about the Spring weather preview we've been having.  He celebrated with a boat ride on Saturday,  I celebrated with sandals & a fringe tank.  This flirty and feminine tank is another favorite from The Girl That Loves.  I know it is going to be my first pick for concerts and festivals this summer.  And is fringe ever a bad idea?  Nope.

Thanks for reading!  Go crush your Tuesday.  Linkups below.

Shake Shake Shake SeƱora

Shimmy dress c/o Pink Slate Boutique (here) // Blue pendant c/o Eff-Y-Bee (here) // Wire bangles c/o Reece & Blaire (here) // gold necklace: vintage // Blazer: Forever 21 (similar) // Clutch: TJMaxx (similar) // nude pumps: Guess (exact) // Glam ring: Jessica Simpson (similar)

TGIF on the real!  Has anyone else's week seemed extremely long?  Perhaps time has been dragging because my BFF of 10 years now is coming to visit today, and we haven't seen each other since my wedding {May 2012}.  You all know that in bestie-years this is pretty much a decade.  I can't wait to do the scream, hug-too-tightly, jump-up-and-down girly reunion - anyone else with me on that?  Even better, she is bringing my furry "nephew" with her whom I haven't seen since he was a puppy.

I am also excited for today, marking a full week of blogging on the regular.  And what better way to round out week one than with this sassy number from Pink Slate Boutique!  Ya'll, I just couldn't help myself with the title of this post {yes, I realize it's going to be stuck in your head all day now}.  I was singing to myself the entire time taking pics, and during a few breaks to shimmy in the dress. Do you want to hear the best part of this post??  Pink Slate Boutique is offering 20% off your entire order with code MODAANDTHEMAR.  So, go scoop up some adorable fall pieces and treat yourself this weekend!

I discovered Pink Slate awhile back through Instagram and I can't tell you how much I love the shop and the girls behind it. They are so upfront and helpful, it makes it a joy to shop the boutique.  This "Shimmy the Night Away" dress just screamed my name!  You can't find a better piece for date night/dancing.  I threw a long blazer over it for structure and warmth.  I have been favoring this blazer from Forever 21 as of late.  It's a nice change from a jacket to throw over jeans and a tee or a fun dress.  I kept the heels neutral and for pops of color I added a few favorite cobalt accessories and the Reece & Blaire baubles I just can't seem to take off.

Thanks for reading!  I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
