Happy Monday!  I hope everyone had an amazing weekend!  The hubby and I were left in charge of our niece and nephew {7 and 3} all weekend.  Everyone keeps telling us that it is great experience for when we decide to add a family member that doesn't have 4 legs.  Honestly though, they are the best kids ever and it's probably going to be a huge wakeup call when my own children aren't so perfect.  If you're following me on Instagram you may have noticed I also broke down and bought the Alice + Olivia mug for Starbucks.  It is completely ridiculous and only holds about half the coffee I require to function in the morning, but let's be honest, it's just too precious to pass up.

I love the simplicity of this black and white look.  Even though most of the materials are knits it still feels so chic.  I'm thankful to live in a state where I don't have to pack on the layers every day in the winter.  Although I love the visual effect of layering, most of the time I just feel like Randy from A Christmas Story {I can't put my arms down.}  Relying on my favorite skirt/boot combo and using a pashmina as a layering piece kept me from feeling too restricted.

What are some of your tips for sleek layering?  Thanks for reading! Checkout who I am linking with below and then go crush your Monday!
