I.  Can't.  Quit.  The.  Magenta.  i just can't!

I never knew I could be so obsessed with a non-neutral shade.  But, here it is again in the form of an adorably flirty stripe on this perfect White Plum Dress.

Sunday Sweaters

Happy Sunday, loves!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  While you were enjoying your brunch & mimosas did you check out my skincare post yesterday?

I honestly believe sweaters were created for Sunday afternoons.  There is nothing better than throwing on a cozy knit cardi & snuggling up when you are more than slightly hungover.  This one from Sugar Love Boutique has been on heavy rotation the last week.  It's just SO cozy and I love the bold print!  This magenta swing dress from Pink Blush is the perfect compliment to the sweater.  It layers perfectly and still gives that easy-breezy feel.  I'll tell you - I sure do get hooked on a color fast!  I'm sure you'll see more magenta on M&M this fall & winter!

I am also beyond hooked on my new vegan leather cuff from Gotham Decay.  The heavy gold latch & python print make me feel like a modern Wonder Woman. (and like a complete bada**)  It really is the perfect chunky accessory for your heavier fall pieces.  And you can feel great wearing it know that it's a cruelty-free, vegan-approved cuff.  These cuffs come in a variety of sizes with several gorgeous colors/materials, clasps, zippers and even spikes to choose from!

Shake 'Em Off

Happy Sunday, guys!

"I take my spots, I take them all, and I can make them very small

I wanted to let you all in on my favorite new skincare secret - the Spot Extractor from Enza!  I have been battling acne for the past decade and I am always looking for something that is easy to apply, that actually works (duh!) and that doesn't destroy my skin while getting rid of my spots.

I love that this salicylic acid product from Enza comes in a convenient roll-on applicator.  It's also a lightweight formula, much like a toner, so there's no sticky residue or thick cream.  This allows me to use the extractor during the day under my makeup as well as before bed!  I also LOVE that it doesn't have the typical "acne medication smell."  It comes in a refreshing herbal scent that isn't obvious or over-powering.

Honestly, if you are on the struggle-bus with me when it comes to breakouts, I highly recommend the Spot-Extractor!  And right now it's on SALE for just 15 smackaroos !

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Matter of Taste

Happy Friday Eve!

I think that just as our taste buds change & update with age, so do our color preferences.  If you gave me a present when I was little, it better be purple.  Better Be.  or there would be consequences. (and tears.)  But at some point I began to despise the entire purple section of the color wheel.  I refused to even consider wearing the color.  And honestly I have no idea why.  Purples & magentas are so flattering on most people.  I suppose it's just a matter of taste.

This magenta pleated dress from one of my favorites - White Plum - has made me fall in love with the purple family all over again!  I styled it with boots & leopard for a casual Fall look, but it would also be a great 9-5 dress for you working gals like myself.  Just add booties, throw on a blazer, or pair it with tights & pumps when the air gets chilly.

Neutral Seasoning

 It's Fall, Ya'll!

Fall makes me think of the typical neutral palette... tans/browns, navy, olive green, black, and camo.  Something about these warm hues makes it officially Fall, and I have the perfect new pieces to start the season!

This Clutch... you guys, I can't.  Obsessed doesn't even being to describe our relationship.  What Southern girl doesn't need a monogrammed camouflage clutch?!  It's such a fun accessory and a great alternative to your leopard clutches & bags.

I also have an online boutique to add to my favorites list!  Pink Blush carries such a great mix of the classics & trendier items.  I know this olive cargo jacket is going to be a staple for me this year.  And I already have a laundry-list of pieces I neeeeed from Pink Blush!  For reals though.  NEED.

Those Fresh Cuts

White Plum dress c/o | Pink Blush necklace c/o | MK tote | similar shoe ; save
Rock Your Locks extensions c/o

Happy Tuesday, loves!

Talking about those fresh cuts today..  fresh cuts of the hair & the hemline.

My hair is in desperate need of a chop.  Well, not really.  But I am completely OVER it.  I always know I have hit a limit with my length when I find a new way to put it up everyday. ::: enter the half bun :::  This Mulan - inspired mini bun has been popping up everywhere.  And I have been dying to pop one on the top of my head.  This kind of do is so easy for hair-challenged people such as myself.  Surprisingly the hubs didn't hate it...

I also adore the fresh (read: original) hemline of this White Plum tunic dress.  The triangle cut in the center gives a lot of visual interest to an otherwise plain tunic.  It's a little bit chic & a little bit edgy and a lotta bit sexy.  This Pink Blush chunky beaded necklace was the perfect finishing piece!

Le Motto

Happy Monday, friends!

confession time:  I'm a worrier.  Chronic worrier.  Always have been.

I worry about the little things, the big things, the things that haven't happened yet, the things that might happen, and even the things that will never happen...but I still genuinely worry about them.  This Summer I kept breaking my body down to physical illness with all of the stress & worrying.  There were so many emotional struggles in my personal life and so many unknowns.

But it had to stop.
At some point I had to convince myself to let it be.  Good or bad, whatever is going to happen is certainly out of my control.  And trust me, convincing a control-freak like myself that I can't map it all out is a grande task.  But, I had to find some breathing space.  Some physical space & head room to let the worrying go.  I can't do it all, I can't control it all, I can't plan it all.

This easy breezy tee from the Le Motto line is one of many that reminds you how to enjoy life.  Phrases such as "Accept More, Judge Less" " Keep Up Don't Give Up" are fashionable pointers we all need every now and then.

Sorry for the wordy-post today, but I could not say goodbye without dishing my secret on this new pair of LOFT skinny jeans.  The Curvy Fit.  Yep.  Amazing.  Let's be honest... these hips aren't slender (they don't lie either...) and they certainly enjoy being able to breathe in the curvy cut of these LOFT skinnies.  I love the stretch the material has & the high-waisted cut.  If you haven't checked out the new updated LOFT jean line, you're missing out!  There are so many classic pairs your fall wardrobe needs.. and most of them available in a curvy cut!

Red

Happy Thursday, ya'll!

So, I don't wear red too often.  It's just not my color.  I'm really more of a blue/green gal.  BUT, you can expect to see these red mules A LOT in the near future.   Can you blame me?

I also knew I haaad to have this plaid crop top the minute I saw it.  The structured fabric & embellishments along the collar are perfection.  How cute is this going to be for Holiday ensems!
