ok, shock time.  are you sitting down?  you may need to sit down...

this is my first blanket scarf.  yep.  told you it was a shock.  they were threatening revocation on my blogger title.  i had to cave....  and now i am completely smitten with this Pink Pineapple Shop scarf and will surely become an addict!  i loved welcoming home this pumpkin spice scarf as my first one and not the typical red plaid.  the colors in this one are gorgeous and pair so well with my fall wardrobe!  but don't worry, PPS still has the classic red & tan scarf for you other newbies.

for those of you who already have baskets of blanket scarves, i wanted to show a unique way to style them.  i love belting them over a dress that it might otherwise be too cold to wear.  this lace boho dress from Sugar Love Boutique is gorgeous but not too insulating.  add a scarf overlay, a jacket & boots.  done.

i paired it with my favorite distressed skinnies (which are on sale for $50 !!) and kept the shoe choice sleek to balance out the chunky top half.  these chic beige pumps from Shop Prima Donna are my new favorite year-round heel.  i adore the unique cut and we all know nude shoes are my jam!

bliss is finally being able to wear sweaters!

while i'm not jealous of the snow my parents received in ohio yesterday, it is nice to finally have a chill in the air!  and this snuggly-soft oversized loose sweater from Catch Bliss Boutique is the perfect piece to bundle-up in.  i love the baggy fit and slight cowl neck, and the color is so on point for this season.  and don't get me started on a sweater with pockets.  fun & functional!

i paired this amazing sweater with a flirty flare skirt & black boots for something a little more chic, but it was also made for some skinnies and riding boots!  and i am head-over-heels for my new Stacy Brown Designs hand-painted plaid monogrammed bangle !!!  not only is it plaid and monogrammed, it comes with a little secret....a leopard print interior!  yep.  a little print-mixing surprise!

why is black on black always so right?!

you guys....  i have a new obsession.  it's a basic black tunic and it's my new best friend.  i am almost embarrassed to tell you how may times i have worn this tunic from Copper Peacock Boutique since it arrived on my doorstep.  four, ok.  four times.  ridiculous.  i paired it with black skinnies, distressed denim, white denim and with a cobalt mini for work.  ridiculous.  but basically it is the most perfect tunic for topping leggings/skinnies and for layering.  i am praying Copper Peacock stocks it in more colors to feed my addiction.  but in the meantime, i will throw this perfect plaid tunic in my cart and smile.  a big smile.

ponchos and capes are having a major moment this season.  and i could not be more excited about it.  they are flattering on absolutely everyone, and can add such a cozy chic layer to your look.  when i saw the vibrant pattern on this aztec inspired poncho from Pomp and Circumstance Boutique, i was sold.  i love that the main part of the poncho is camel (one of my favorite shades for fall) which a pattern that is sure to pop in any fall ensem.  Pomp and Circumstance is such an adorable boutique with all of the right pieces to keep you chic and on trend!

i decided to break the "rules" in my poncho and pair it with diy white denim.  for some reason i never seem to wear these Old Navy rockstar skinnies so the other day i got creative and went all shredder on them.  interested in your own craft-project denim?  this pair is on sale for under $10 right now.  simply cut slits where you heart desires and rough up the cuts with a cheese grater.  easy peasy. 

 and if you follow me on instagram, you probably saw where my search for the perfect pair of casual brown booties ended with these jessica simpson cognac boots.  the shade is perfect with these white skinnies, and i love the comfy, chunky heel.

so this might be one of my favorite outfits.  ever.  i am such a fan of double denim year round.  combine that with a monogrammed shrug and a little leopard... sold.  

this monogrammed cardigan from Swagger Gifts is such a wardrobe staple.  it's universally flattering and easy to style.  but the monogram makes it such a special piece that is already one of my favorites.  (and at a great price point, it would make the perfect Christmas present!)
