Emerald City

Tee: TJMaxx (option) // Skirt: Belk (I LOVE this one) // Belt: Ralph Lauren (exact) // Bag: Phillip Lim for Target (similar) // Scarf: Ralph Lauren (exact) // Tassel Bracelets: c/o Cathryn Ann Designs (here) // Flats: Rampage via TJMaxx

Happy Tuesday!  I was hoping a fun maxi and a touch of leopard would make yesterday a little easier.  It didn't.  I hate Mondays.  I always plan to be organized, well-rested and ready to crush the week.  But, Monday usually wins.

Emerald is the 2013 Pantone Color of the Year, and truthfully I am just now embracing it.  I picked up this tee a few months ago and haven't felt right about wearing it until the season changed.  I loved the dark hue of it, and that with the faux-leather accents on the sleeves and pockets it's juuust not-tshirt enough to slip into the work week.  Working 9-5 with a "business" dress code, I like to push the boundaries and keep my wardrobe interesting.  This t-shirt was structured enough to be one of those borderline items.  I added a touch of leopard to make it interesting and personal (and, because who doesn't love leopard.)  I am also loving these Cathryn Ann Design tassel bracelets.  They seriously find their way to the stack just about every day!

I specifically selected this ensemble for today's post to be able to linkup with two of my favorite blogging babes - Laura and Erin.  Each week they host a Trend-Spin Linkup highlighting a hot trend and allowing other bloggers to linkup their take on it.  I really look forward to this each week, and I am excited to be able to linkup through the blog for the first time!  This week's trend is Jewel Tones, which made me realize I never ever buy jewel tones {don't worry, I will fix that this weekend.}  Good thing I had been hanging on to this emerald tee!

Checkout the TrendSpin Linkup below and be sure to follow Laura and Erin.  I just know you will love them!
