Print-Mix Tuesday

Happy Tuesday!  The temperatures are dropping here in Eastern NC and the fact that they are calling for snow flurries in the middle of November makes this Southern girl want to cry.  I realize some of you have had snow off and on since September where you live.  I am sorry.  When you live at the beach you expect MAYBE one snow day a year in February.  Anything earlier is unacceptable in my book.  After I stop crying Pretending to accept the forecast, I will be digging through the coat closet to pull out some old favorites and a few newbies that I picked up for just this situation. Glass half-full, right ??

While it's still warm enough to go tight-less, I styled this new sweater skirt in one of my everyone's favorite fashions:  print-mixing.  I love the combo of the two bold prints, and I love mixing typically "opposite" colors {read: blue&black, black&brown}  I honestly don't know why this is the first gingham shirt I have owned since 5th grade, but I sure am glad I scooped it up in one of my favorite Instagram shops last week.  I will probably rock it as least once a week if for no other reason than to hear my husband call it my "farmer shirt" each time.

Thanks for reading!  Go crush your Tuesday, and checkout below who I am linking up with today!

  6. Love this look! Gingham is one of my favorite seasons for Fall, but the way you styled it with another print is stunning!

I'm from South Carolina and completely understand when things finally start to cool off and you all of a sudden dread it! Enjoy the little bit of crisp Fall you get :)

Would love for you to join my link up, Stylish Tuesday over on the blog!

  9. Such a pretty skirt and I love it with those boots! I don't think there's a Belk around where I live but if I stumble upon one I need to check it out, thats a great find! It hasn't snowed here yet (in DC area) but it's down to almost 30 degrees and I haaate it! I would definitely rather be on the beach getting my tan on :)

Stopped by from the Three-fer Thursday link up! Have a great weekend!

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Kamola! Belk is a department store, I think mainly in southern states. You can order online though if you just have to have the skirt ;) I completely feel you on the weather change! I live at the beach, so October-April is a sad time here!
