Wedding season is here!  It's time to stock up on dresses for bridal showers, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, and the big day.  One of my besties is taking the plunge this May, and I wore this feminine coral dress her her bridal shower the other week.  While my wardrobe may be ready for Spring weddings, my tan definitely is not.  I am usually not a tights person, but I was so happy with these Sunkissed Silk Reflections from Hanes.  The nude bronzer color gave me just a hint of tan without being too obvious that I had on hose (I mean, you can't even tell I have them on!!)

I'm sure everyone is counting down the hours to 5:00.  At least I am.  This weekend we are celebrating one of my main girls and her pending nuptials with a bridal shower.  I am beyond excited to sip on mimosas, celebrate, and catch up with a few fabulous ladies that I have not seen in years!

Today I wanted to show you another favorite from The Girl That Loves.  I am a huge fan of skirts - the fit is just always easier for my body shape - and this printed skater one just screamed my name.  Since we have been having drab, chilly weather as of late, I decided to break out the booties and tweed moto jacket.  The combo made me feel very moto tough.

This outfit is just like a glass of Southern lemonade - a little sweet & a little tart.  I have been debating a tulle skirt for what seems like eternity now.  They are just darling, but not the most practical investment.  However, when I saw this beauty from The Girl That Loves , I gave myself a giant pat on the back for being a hold-out.  I had found the perfect skirt by being just the slightest bit patient.  I mean, a tulle skirt of any shade is just adorable.  But a yellow tulle skirt?  No competition!  {ps - if yellow doesn't make you mellow, check out the amazing other colors from The Girl That Loves.  You will flip!}  

I tried to adjust for the sweetest of this skirt with my favorite snarky, tart tee from Pink Pineapple Shop.  It also helped to balance out the volume on the bottom with a tighter-fitting top half.

I know I told you yesterday, but the weather this past weekend was incredible.  My Vitamin D levels and mood are definitely elevated.  And what made me just as happy as the sunshine?  Sandals.  I am a true beach baby and I live for sandals.  I spent Friday night putting a fresh coat of Spring polish on my toes - because my life is just that exciting, y'all. - just to make sure I was ready for the open-toe weekend.  

While I'm transitioning from Winter to Spring, I love the denim-sandal combo.  It's still appropriate for the pre-Spring weeks (and for my pathetically pale legs) yet the sandals make me feel like I'm on an early-release day.   This combo with a flowy blouse is my go-to weekend uniform this time of year.  The gorgeous statement necklace from Accessory Jane topped off the look.  Accessory Jane has become one of my favorite online shops with the CAAHH-utest statement pieces.  You can shop the baubles auction style on Facebook and Instagram.

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.  In my neck of the woods we got a major taste of Spring weather.  Which of course gave me a major dose of Spring fever.  It was open-toes all weekend long.  

One symptom of Spring fever is my desire to purge my entire closet and regroup.  Purging always leads to discovering old favorites.  Or in this case, an amazing skirt with the tags still attached.  I picked up this beauty for $15 last year at a killer department store clearance {those are my favorite} and stashed it away.  Lucky for me, it just happened to be a perfect pair with my new Loves Affect jewels.  I love how delicate and feminine this wrap bracelet and tassel necklace are.  And, if rose quartz isn't your jam, there is an amazing assortment of Spring colors to choose from!  ps - make sure to use code SPRING15 for 15% off your purchase!
