Necklace Layering 101 & a JAECI Giveaway

JAECI necklaces c/o : octopus - wild at heart - good vibes - explore

It's FRIIIIIIIIIDAY!

What a better way to kick off the weekend than with a chic and minimal street styled look!  I cannot tell you how in love I am with the JAECI collection.  Every piece is so delicate but creates such a statement.  To be quite honest, they all make me feel pretty bad-ass.  Especially layered up like a delicious cake.

All of these JACEI jewels represent a little piece of me - from wild at heart to explore.  And nothing tells more of who I am than the animal necklace.  A short 4-question quiz (I LOVE quizzes.  Nerd alert) takes in all of your personality traits and spits them out into one cute & fun spirit animal.  My spirit animal?  The octopus:  independent, intelligent & creative, aware of what they don't know, passionate about conceptualizing ideas, like to process complex theories.  Now that's a conversation starter.

Take the quiz above to find out & enter the rafflecopter below!  We are giving away a JAECI animal necklace to one lucky reader!

I hope you guys have a wonderful weekend!

Hot Child in the City

Happy Tuesday, loves!

Ok, so by "Hot" I mean about 75, and by "City" I mean a really small town.  But something about this simple outfit of pattern plays & a turban has that song playing in my head on repeat.

I am a big fan of using silk scarves and strips of fabric as a diy turban on the weekends.  It's an easy way to add a chic & fun element to a simple outfit.  But sometimes they are not the easiest thing for a Type-A to perfect (and to keep retying and retying...and retying..)  Good news, Gina Made It has lessened the struggle for all of us.  These ready to wear turbans are actually just headbands.  Easy peasy.  Gina Made It has all of your necessary preppy hair accessories for Summer styling. - like the bun bow & knotted sparkly headband. ... AND Gina makes them in NC which makes my heart happy.

I know this Blush Boutique tissue tank is going to be a staple this summer.  I love tops that have a hint of texture to them, and the relaxed feel of it will be perfect paired with linen or palazzo pants this summer.  I also have some new favorite arm candy.  You can shop the indigo bangle at Leopard & Latte ...and you can shop it 20% OFF with code MAGGIE20 and the anchor bracelet from Pink Pineapple Shop is just too adorable for Summers at the beach!

Only four more days to freedom...

Turbie Times

Happy Hump Day!

I hope everyone is having a great week so far!  Spring fever has hit me full blast and I am counting down the days to sunshine & booze cruises.  But until then, jeans are my bffs every weekend.  I was recently introduced to a denim brand that has quickly become one of my favorites.  Dittos is 70's inspired denim with a modern look.  The fit is incredible, and I just adore the zippered detail in this pair.  Check out their store locator to find all of your favorite retailers and stock up on some seriously good denim.

Did you catch my other secret in this post?  These Kushyfoot foot covers are a life saver...or, a foot saver to be exact.  I wear heels at least 6 days a week.  I know my feet are going to regret it, but I just love heels.  And sometimes, that much walking on stilts can kill a girl's feet.  These ultra low-cut foot covers have a cushioned pad for the ball of your foot, and they are completely undetectable with all of your favorite pumps.  They also come in adorable polka dot and lace options for extra pizzazz.

btw- this turban is actually just a silk scarf tied and wrapped.  Easy peasy!

Thanks for reading!  Linkups below. ps - there is a SUPER fun giveaway tomorrow!
