Happy Monday, lovelies!
have you heard that saying, "if you don't like the weather, just hang around for a minute..." I'm pretty sure it was written for North Carolina. seriously weather - make. up. your. mind. one day it's 85 and sunny and the next I'm freezing with bare legs.
my solution to these mixed messages? the best of both seasons - sweaters and cutoffs . I may have worn these white denim shorts more this fall than I did during the sweltering summer months. I just love the way white pairs with your typical fall colors - camel, red, burgundy, grey, chocolate... this cropped knit sweater from White Plum Boutique is a classic piece for these in-between days. it's cropped & lightweight but super cozy for chillier temps.
and can we talk about this super wicked necklace from Shiny Mix?! because that's the name of it - wickedly hardcore - and it is. it's going to look so great with collared shirts & jackets. and you can shop it and the rest of the website with code modaandthemar for 15% off.
in other news - I tried out this new messy bun tutorial I found via Pinterest. it's suuuuper easy and only takes about 5 minutes (and 50 bobby pins...)
beautiful casual style! love the booties and all the hobo feel!

That is how the weather has been here too! It sure is making it hard to get dressed in the morning. That sweater is such a great red, not too bright and not too dark. It's perfect paired with the white shorts. I have similar booties and wear them non-stop.

You're all about the richly saturated merlot tones. I love it. You look great in the color. Regardless oh blouse or sweater, the look works on your and for your personally styling.
